1. Search

The blogcindario search allows you to find articles in a quick and easy way. Depending on the section you are in, the search engine will allow you to do different searches. For example, if you are navigating inside a category, you may look for blog articles in that category, whereas if you are having a look at a blog, the search may be restricted only to the articles of that blog.

There are also a series of special characters to do more specific searches (+, -, and the inverted commas). Examples:

  • +hello +world: It will only offer results matching the exact phrase.
  • +linux -windows: The word "linux" must appear obligatorily, while the word "windows" need not appear.
  • +linux -windows programs: Same as in the previous case, except that the word "programs" may or may not also be there (of course, if it is, the result will be displayed before another one which does not contain it)
  • "Sports news": It will only offer results matching the exact phrase.

The results are sorted according to an internal coefficient that we calculate from several factors (which we are not to reveal for obvious reasons), attempting to place higher the articles considered more relevant for the search.

2. "Blogs" section

The blog section allows you to display all the blogs registered on the eztools.com blog service.

Right after you enter in the section, you will find a list with all the categories that tells you the number of blogs each one has and, below them, the last blogs registered. If you click one of the categories, you will obtain a list of the blogs in that category, sorted by the position they have in the eztools.com Top. The search engine will show us now the option to search only in that category.

Clicking on any blog, you will access a page where you will receive more detailed information about the blog and a list of the articles published. Besides, the search will allow you to search only in that blog

3. "Articles" section

The article section allows you to display all the articles published on the eztools.com blog service.

Right after you enter in the section, you will find a list with all the categories that tells you the number of articles each one has and, below them, the last articles published. If you click one of the categories, you will obtain a list of the articles in that category, sorted by the date they were published. The search engine will show us now the option to search only in that category.

Clicking on any article, you will access directly to the blog page where the article is

4. "Top 100" section

This section displays the Top 100 blogs, selected in different ways:

  • eztools.com Top: Generally speaking, it is the most valid of all, since it takes into account all possible factors and from there calculates a coefficient that is assigned to each blog. This coefficient is calculated once a day.
  • Top by articles: Top 100 blogs, taking into account only the number of articles. It is displayed in real time.
  • Top by comments: Top 100 blogs, taking into account only the number of comments. It is displayed in real time.
  • Top by visits: Top 100 blogs, taking into account only the number of visits to articles. It is displayed in real time.
5. Featured Blog

The featured blog (which is displayed on the main page of blogcindario) is chosen from the 100 first blogs of the "eztools.com Top". When a blog is chosen featured blog, its owner is notified by a eztools.com private message

6. RSS and ATOM syndication

The syndication icons are shown in several blogcindario sections. They allow you to add that section in particular to our favorite feed reader and thus be always informed about what happens. For example, you may syndicate the articles of a category, blog or search.

The search syndication is thought for those people who are very interested in very specific subjects. They may add this search to their feed reader and see the changes/news that may occur from time to time.

A good example would be somebody interested in all that happens in the world of videogames. He/She may syndicate the "Videogames" category and thus be always be up to date on all the articles published on that field.
